The release date of the Huawei P70 series has seemingly been revealed. A leaked screenshot has surfaced showing one of the devices, possibly the ‘Art’ version, along with the date and time of the event.

This could be the release date of the Huawei P70 series

You can check out this screenshot below. As you can see it is in Chinese as this press event will be held in China. The Huawei P70 series is also expected to enter global markets, but only after sales in China.

However, the launch date highlighted here is April 2 and the time is 2:30 p.m. That means 7:30 CET, 6:30 BST, 1:30 EST, in case you were wondering.

We are expecting three variants of the phone: Huawei P70, Huawei P70 Pro and Huawei P70 Art. Well, there’s a chance that the Huawei P70 Pro+ will also be launched, although that didn’t happen last year (with the P60 series). The model pictured above is most likely the ‘Art’ variant, at least based on its backplate.

The Kirin 9000 will power these devices

If you take a closer look at the provided screenshot, you will notice that the Kirin 9000s is also mentioned here. It’s Huawei’s own SoC, which was made in collaboration with SMIC. It supports 5G connectivity.

Now the specifications of the Huawei P70 series have surfaced, but we are not sure how accurate they are. All three/four smartphones are expected to use the Kirin 9000s chip. The Huawei P70 is said to feature a 6.58-inch display, while the other models will have a 6.76-inch panel. These will all be LTPO OLED displays.

The Pro+ and Art models are said to have a better main camera sensor

The Huawei P70 is expected to have a slightly smaller battery and the same selfie camera as the other models (a 13-megapixel unit). The Huawei P70 Pro+ and P70 Art are said to have a more powerful main camera sensor (Sony IMX989 sensor) compared to the OmniVision OV50H (1/1.3-inch sensor) that will be included in the other two models. Here we are talking about the main cameras.

All devices are expected to support 88W wired charging, and all but the base model will support 80W wireless charging. The base model also reportedly offers wireless charging, but 50W wireless charging.
