Currently, construction works are taking place in 29 stages in the national road network, most of them are on regional roads. Drivers are invited to pay attention to the traffic organization during construction stages, to follow road signs and instructions, as well as to observe temporary traffic lights and other road traffic rules.
This week, the number of temporary traffic lights on the regional highway Ventspils-Kolka (P124) from Ventspils to Liepenei has increased to seven, and it will take almost an hour to leave the 10-kilometer long repair section.
On the national highway Kocēni-Limbaži-Tūja (P11) in the section from Umurga to Iesalkāja, traffic controllers organize traffic in one lane in three stages. The speed limit is 70 and 50 km/h. Estimated crossing time of the repair section is 45 minutes.
The Inčukalns-Ropaži-Ikškile (P10) section of the highway from Kangari to Tīnūži has five sections of reverse movement, as well as speed limits of 70 and 50 km/h. Estimated crossing time of the repair section is 40 minutes.
Traffic is regulated by traffic lights on the Kandava-Saldus highway (P109) from Zemīte to Kapukrog in four stages. The speed is limited to 50 km/h, but the estimated time of crossing the repair stage is 30-35 minutes.
The section of the Skrunda-Aizpute (P117) highway after Kazdanga has three sections of traffic lights and a speed limit of 50 km/h. The estimated time for crossing the repair section is half an hour.
The Ilūkste (Virsaiši)-Bebrene-Birži (P72) section of the highway from Mazslatie to Zasa has three sections of traffic lights, as well as a speed limit of 70 and 50 km/h, so you should plan 25 minutes for crossing the section.
Meanwhile, on the section of the Smiltene-Valka (P24) highway from Smiltene to the Blome-Birzuļi-Palsmane highway (V243) in three sections, traffic is regulated by traffic lights and the speed limit is 70 and 50 km/h. The estimated time of crossing the repair section is 20 minutes.
