Russian soldiers, who have returned home after participating in hostilities on the territory of Ukraine, have killed and maimed more than 200 people, the “Vjorstka” publication has counted, based on information from open sources.
According to media data, since the start of the full-scale war, soldiers who have returned home have committed at least 84 crimes involving human victims, including intentional murder and serious harm to health, which resulted in death.
As a result of these actions, 107 Russian citizens were killed, more than 100 were seriously injured.
We are talking only about officially recorded offenses. 176 soldiers have been accused of committing them, among them are 91 pardoned prisoners.
Among the 134 published court judgments, participation in the war was taken into account as a mitigating circumstance in three-quarters of the cases.
In 42 cases, the court recognized “illegal actions of the victims” as mitigating circumstances, among other things, the court recognized “criticism of military actions” as mitigating circumstances.
