In Ogre, on May 4, on the anniversary of the restoration of independence, cultural events and other activities

At 15.00 on the stage of the city square with the concert “The Earth Lives, the Earth Flourishes”, the children’s vocal studio of the Ogre County Culture Center “Svilpastes”, the VPD collectives “Raksti” and “Aija”, the children’s and youth dance collective “Pīlādzītis” and a senior dance will welcome Latvia on the holiday collective “Ogreniatis”.

From 16:00 on the pedestrian section of Brīvības Street, by participating in creative workshops and participating in a knotting master class together with the folk art studio “Saiva” of the Ogre County Culture Center, you will be able to learn new skills and create something beautiful and useful.

On the other hand, at 17.00, the traditional “Tweed ride” will be started at M. Pūre’s brewery. During the trip, the participants, dressed in retro clothes, will be able to ride a beautiful route through the most picturesque places of Ogre.

At the end of the day, at 7:00 p.m., a concert by the National Armed Forces Headquarters Orchestra Concert Ensemble dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Latvia will be held in the city square.

The concert will include compositions by well-known artists in Latvia, as well as original works created by themselves, who are able to captivate everyone with their power and energy. Despite its short existence, the Variety Ensemble of the Headquarters Orchestra of the National Armed Forces has won the hearts of many listeners with its youth, enthusiasm and excitement.

Attendance at festive events is free.
