On the evening of May 8, in the “Bez Tabu” program, you could watch how journalist Alice Luna visited the winner Auces J to evaluate Anglerfish in person and present the artistic girl with a prize – a trip worth 3,000 euros.
Auce told the program that she made the mermaid mask specially for the “Traveling with masks” competition. The manufacturing process took a week and the mask weighs a little more than 15 kilograms.
“The mask is really quite heavy. It’s not that easy to hold it,” Auce revealed, showing how he holds the mask on himself, as well as where it is possible to see what’s going on around him.
Auce did not hide that she likes ugly things that are rarely liked by others – she likes skulls, skeletons, and the theme of death is also close to the young woman.
The mask is made of wood, cardboard, newspapers, thermal insulation pipes and mounting foam. Screws, hot glue, PVA glue, adhesive tape are used for fasteners. Anglerfish painted with car and acrylic paints.

The Anglerfish author is still undecided about where she would like to go, saying that luck has been on her side recently, having won a trip to Italy in another competition.
In her free time, Auce likes to run, she ran a half-marathon in two hours and seven minutes, but this year she decided to beat her record. Auce also likes to make cups, the main element of which are teeth.
A total of 250 masks, made of different materials, in different styles and sizes, were sent to the competition “Travelling with masks”. In the assessment, great importance was paid to the work invested, creativity, ingenuity and functionality – whether the mask is wearable. The “Voice in the Mask” detectives took the evaluation with great seriousness and responsibility!
