Teachers from Croatia, Slovenia and the Canary Islands are visiting Gulbene district this week – Gulbene district – Dzirkstele.lv

On April 24, the municipality of Gulbene region received pedagogues from Croatia, Slovenia and the Canary Islands, who came to Gulbene due to the job shadowing project, where the partner is Gulbene regional high school.

The municipality of Gulbene region informs that they are specifically interested in educational work in the region. Among them are elementary, special, music, geography and history teachers.

In a conversation with the head of Gulbene District Education Administration Daci Kablukova, the education system of Gulbene District was explored, what is the coverage of preschool educational institutions and schools, the strengths and weaknesses of education were listed. The guests were surprised by the wide range of interest-based education in the Gulbene region. The questions were about the availability of support persons and specialists for children with special needs, such as speech therapists, psychologists, about rehabilitation opportunities in the region. At the end of the meeting, the teachers also visited the Montessori center.

From April 22 to 26, teachers in regional schools learn about Latvian educational work methods, as well as get acquainted with the work of other institutions.
