Daina Šulca, the re-emigration coordinator of the Riga planning region, admits that there are cases when they return and only then start looking for work. However, there have been even more extreme cases when they come back and say that they have no home, no job, and no money.

“If a person wants to move, then before moving, he must find a job and a home in Latvia. Now employers have become much more accommodating – job interviews are held remotely. A person has opportunities to find a job,” she emphasizes, adding that there are no problems with finding a job, especially in the Riga region.

Šulta points out that Latvia has changed a lot over the years. For example, in the Riga region, living standards, living standards and salaries have become similar to those of Western Europe.
