Meteorologist Toms Bricis reports that this morning according to the weather observation stations in many places in Latvia minuses were reached, which is not at all typical for the last month of spring – May. But, unfortunately, that’s not all – the worst frost is expected tonight and early Thursday morning.
Bricis writes that, according to the observation of the station, the minuses were in Zosēni last night – minus 2.6 degrees there, in Rēzekne – minus 2.3 degrees, in Daugavpils and Madon – minus 2.1 degrees. It is true that none of these indicators came close to the cold record in May, which was recorded on these dates in the distant 1953, when it was minus 10.5 degrees in Zoseni.
