As the air mass gradually flows in from the north, it will become colder both at night and during the day – frost will form on the top layer of the grass in some places at night and in the morning, and it will even be strong in the east of the country on the night of Thursday. During the days this week, the air will not warm up more than +8…+13 degrees.
Although it will rain for a while on working days and, starting from Wednesday, May 8, wet snow is even possible in some places, the holidays will pass without significant precipitation, informs the Center of Environment, Geology and Meteorology.
On Wednesday, clouds will cover most of the sky in the west of the country, there will be fewer of them in the east, but already on Thursday night, the amount of clouds will gradually increase in the east as well. On both Wednesday and Thursday, we will observe rain in places, mainly in the west of the country, and when a cooler air mass flows in from the north, wet snow is also possible in some places from Wednesday evening.
Although the minimum air temperature will mostly be in the range of 0…+5 degrees in the coastal regions and the west of the country, frost is expected in the central and eastern regions of the country on Thursday night – in places in the east it will even be very strong, with the thermometer falling to the -5 degree mark! During the day, the air will warm up to +7…+13 degrees.
At the weekend, as the atmospheric pressure drops again, precipitation is expected almost all over the country on Friday, but the holidays promise to be mostly dry. The west wind will increase, at times it will be gusty. The windiest day will be Saturday – in the east of the country, the wind in gusts could reach up to 15 m/s. The nights will no longer be so cool, the thermometer will drop to +1…+6 degrees in most of the country. During daylight hours, the maximum air temperature will remain similar to the previous days.
