As of May 1, Gulbene will have a lower heat energy tariff – Gulbene district – Dzirkstele.lv

From May 1, the heat energy tariff for customers in Gulbene will be 71.42 euros/MWh (without VAT), and it is 6.03% lower than the current heat energy tariff – 76 euros/MWh (without VAT). The changes in the heat energy tariff are related to the reduction in the price of a renewable energy resource – wood chips, which the company SIA “Gren Gulbene” uses for the production of heat energy in Gulbene.

The Public Services Regulatory Commission has recognized the compliance of SIA “Gren Gulbene” thermal energy supply service tariffs and their justification with the Public Services Regulatory Commission’s decision No. 1/7 of April 14, 2010 “Methodology for calculating heat energy supply service tariffs” and the company’s established thermal energy supply service tariffs may enter into force on May 1, 2024, as indicated in the notice on the established tariffs published in the official publication “Latvijas Vēstnesis”.
