Asteru street 10 yard

This year, the apartment owners’ associations submitted the first three applications for improvement projects for courtyards of multi-apartment residential buildings already at the end of February, as soon as the opportunity to apply for Jelgava municipality co-financing for improvement of courtyards was announced. At the end of March, the fourth applicant applied for the remaining part of this year’s funding in the amount of less than 3,000 euros. Therefore, at present, the co-financing of Jelgava municipality in the amount of 100,000 euros has already been acquired, in total, it is expected to implement four yard improvement projects for the total amount of 155,084.34 euros, informs Jelgava state city municipality institution “Pilsētsaimniecība”.

On February 26, the application was submitted by the associations of apartment owners of multi-apartment residential buildings at 8 Asteru Street, 8 Māras Street and 10 Asteru Street, while in March the apartment owners of 38 Vīgřiazu Street applied for financing.

A rainwater drainage system is planned to be built in the yard of an apartment building on Asteru street 8 with the co-financing of the municipality. The total cost of the project is EUR 25,094.04, of which the municipality co-finances EUR 18,311.59.

It is also planned to build a rainwater drainage system in the improvement project of the courtyard at 8 Māras Street. The total cost of the project is EUR 23,598.53, of which the municipality co-finances EUR 18,369.78.

On the other hand, the apartment owners of the residential building on Asteru Street 10 submitted a request for co-financing for the construction of the parking lot and the construction of the road surface and related engineering networks (rainwater drains). The total cost of the project is EUR 99,778.77, of which the municipal co-financing is EUR 60,321.66.

The residential house manager of all these beautification projects is SIA “Jelgava nekustāmā pāvādas pārvalde”.

The application for the remaining amount of money – 2996.97 euros – was received on March 26. It was submitted by the multi-apartment building managed by DzĪKS “Varavīksne” at 38 Vīgřiažu Street with the aim of building a parking area for waste containers. The total cost of the project is 6613 euros.

It should be reminded that the improvement of the plot of land attached to the multi-apartment residential building is decided by the apartment owners. In the program, the local government co-finances up to 50 percent of the costs of improvement works or up to 80 percent of the costs of construction, reconstruction or renovation of a closed waste container storage facility, but not exceeding 20,000 euros for one multi-apartment residential building, or no more than 80 percent of the roadway (surface structure, curbs ) and related engineering networks (rainwater drainage networks for the roadway part, adjustment of the well covers of the other engineering networks) for the construction, reconstruction or renovation costs, if the roadway is used for access in one of the following cases: to another multi-apartment residential building or to a common waste container storage facility of several multi-apartment residential buildings. When the project is implemented, the co-financing part of the municipality is repaid.
