But little by little I am making progress, I hope that everything will be healed soon. It became easier when I realized that the person who hurt me the most never actually loved me. He simply speculated with feelings, created an illusion of them.

Everything in life has to be mourned, including lost relationships. However, sadness must be organic, you don’t need to be sad specifically.

A woman is in a lot of pain after a broken relationship, because she gave her heart to a man. She still loves him, it hurts because part of her heart is with him. Once she gets it back, peace ensues. And then she blames herself – why did I drag this relationship on for so long and didn’t run away at the first offenses?

I have suffered a lot in relationships, so I believe that I have only been married once – to Sergej. We have a son in our family and I am a widow. With that, everything is exhausted. At my age, the topic of nesting is no longer relevant, but I do not deny that a miracle can happen. On the other hand, I am so made up that I don’t want a new relationship. I will never get back the time I spent on a failed relationship. It’s better to write a beautiful poem.”

Sergej Akurater was Akurater’s husband and the father of her son Matis. She believes that Sergey is the only man who has truly loved her. Sergej once fought with lung cancer and has now passed away.
