“In any case, in my opinion, this will be one of the most watched world championships,” hockey coach and former player of the Latvian national team Oļegs Sorokins made such a prediction in the program “Aizmugure”. “Augšgala” teams this year are fully armed with stars, so the world hockey championship will be very enjoyable for the spectators. Jānis Bendziks, a journalist from the “Delfi” Sports Department, had similar thoughts, who added that Latvia will always be able to find a way to “get caught”!

Kopumā Zviedrijas hokejā esot vērojams neliels kritums, ko parāda arī Zviedrijas jauno spēlētāju salīdzinoši zemās vietas NHL draftā. Tādēļ šogad Zviedri, visticamāk, arī rūpīgāk gatavosies spēlei pret Latviju. “Pieņemu ka video treneri arī labāk strādās un vairāk piedomās pie taktikām. Jo, kā es teicu, Latviju bieži vien baigi neskatās. O, mēs spēlēsim savu spēli pret viņiem. Nu pamēģiniet savu spēli! Latvijai ir daudz vairāk domāšanas klāt un treneri daudz vairāk iegulda laiku tajā, lai atšifrētu pretinieku,” viņš teica.
