Bayern must find a replacement for Thomas Tuchel, who is leaving the club in June by prior agreement with its management.
Bayern did not win the Bundesliga for the first time in 12 years this season, with Bayer Leverkusen winning the title, but have reached the semi-finals of the Champions League.
Rangnik became the club’s first choice after the rejection of Xavi Alonso and Julian Nagelsmann and the decision to stay with Bayer and the German national team respectively.
