In the concert program Superheroes the orchestra Riga will meet with singers Daumanta Kalniņa and Zani Dombrovska, looking for heroes and benefactors in music. Superheroes who will inspire listeners to become better and braver, and with their example will give hope and faith in the victory of good over evil. Even with the help of supercars, special suits, the ability to fly, or some other fantastical skill, superheroes always stand up for the smaller and weaker, and embody the best of humanity. At the concert, the audience will meet not only the superheroes of our time, but also our own Lāčplēsi, the Third Father’s Son and others. The concert will also feature music from such popular movies as Superman and Harry Potter.
The concert is intended for children, families and anyone interested who is ready to see the human and good in those around them through music. Along with the orchestra playing, Daumantas Kalniņš’s stories about music and songs performed by him and Zane Dombrovska will be played, which will be complemented by appropriate images on the screen in the hall. At the orchestra Riga the orchestra’s artistic director and conductor Valdis Butāns will take the conductor’s desk.
