The singer Palū (real name Olga Palušina) came up with a deeply personal story – in the original song “Pazūdu”. The song was created together with the Polish producer and songwriter Zuzanna Ossowska, whom the singer met at the songwriting camp “RigaLive”, while the lyrics are co-written by Kristīne Spure.
The song “Pazūdu” has an extremely poignant mood, so it is not surprising that Palu was inspired by personal experience in its creation. “This song was written at a time when, it seems, I was the most distant from myself. It is based on my own personal experience when I felt like I was literally disappearing,” says the singer and author of the song, Palu.
“It’s a candid story about what goes on in a woman’s mind when you fall prey to emotional abuse and become the main character in someone else’s fictional reality. Emotional violence is often mentioned in society, but so little is said about what comes with it – fear, guilt, accusations that you get into. I think it’s important not to be silent, so a song was created through which I could express the pain of everything I experienced. Although it sounds banal, the music really healed me. It took a year before I could finish the song and bring it to a wider audience, because it’s too personal, too fragile, and maybe I’m afraid of being misunderstood for allowing myself to be so weak. But with this song I want to encourage everyone who experiences something similar in their life to be brave and make the decision to leave to find again
