Sabīne Berezina and Aivo Oskis joined in a duet with the single “Klusā balssi”. “A video was also created for the song, which depicts two different worlds – exactly what the silent voice in each of us can influence,” informs the team of singers.

The idea of the song “Quiet Voice” is about two inner voices: the first motivates to develop, improve and love yourself, and the second says the worst things that sometimes we can’t even imagine. “Everyone hears different bad things, which in turn creates a feeling of being incomplete and powerless. I imagined it as a character smiling evilly when it saw that I had fallen for its sabotaging tactics through the use of venomous words. There is no person in the world who can say worse things than what this negative voice can say in our minds. I try to live with the knowledge that when I hear that voice of insecurity, I quickly try to silence it and thank it for its opinion, but add a “get over it” message. Both of these voices – both inspiring and disparaging – make up our being, and I believe that every person has them, others may have even more inner voices, but that’s another story and concept,” says Oskis.

“Although we have been singing with Aivo since we were teenagers, until now we have not had a real duet, so we consciously worked on the fact that we want to convey something like this to the wider society,” Sabine says. “My sister Zhanna Berezina wrote the accompaniment, but we invited Gati Mūrniekus for the words. The message of the song is also close to me, because I know how these voices can influence both in a positive and negative way. This quiet voice sometimes tells us to step aside, stop, do nothing, but we must understand that each of us has an interesting life – sometimes fun, exciting, sometimes sad or harsh, but despite this, we have to live from the heart. It is necessary to learn to suppress the negative side of this voice, but obey and listen to the positive that whispers to us, so that we do what we love, be happy and rejoice in every moment of this life. It’s actually a lifelong art.”
