Chinese scientists have found a way to slow down aging

Chinese scientists continue to look for ways to slow down human aging, writes “The Sun”.

The latest study, published in Elsevier’s The Lancet Regional Health – Western Pacific, looks at how tea can affect biological aging.

Chinese scientists have discovered that drinking black and green tea can have a “positive effect on aging”.

A researcher from Sichuan University says, “We found that about three cups of tea a day can promote anti-aging.”

Previous studies have shown that tea contains polyphenols, which are powerful antioxidants that may help reduce the risk of diabetes and heart disease.

The researcher states: “Tea contains various bioactive compounds, such as polyphenols, theanine and caffeine, which may be related to its potential anti-aging effects. Polyphenols have been reported to modulate the gut microbiota, which could significantly affect age-related immune, metabolic and cognitive function regulation of changes.”
