Two years ago, on May 9, 2022, we witnessed a historic event – US President Joe Biden signed the Lend-Lease Law on support for the defense of Ukraine. This was the first time since World War II. The law immediately came into force, but the program did not start working. The law was valid until October 2023. Was it sabotage? If the answer is “yes”, then who is responsible – Ukraine or the USA? We asked several experts from both the USA and Ukraine to comment on this situation.
We asked oppositionist Borislav Berez – since the kiosk was not activated, did sabotage take place? The former deputy replied that “lending lease can be sabotaged when it is necessary. At the time when the Lending Lease Law was signed, we received everything we really needed from the US as part of other programs”.
