Poland, the opponent of the Latvian hockey players, has announced the squad for the WC

The Polish national team will go to the World Championship with three goalkeepers, nine defenders and 13 forwards.

Most of the representatives of the Polish national team play in the local league on a daily basis, but Zigmund represents the Czech extra-league team “Verva”, and Kamil Valega – “Ocelarži” of Tršinec.

Also, one of the goalkeepers, David Zabolotny, and defenseman Pavel Dronia played in Germany’s second strongest league this season, while forward Krzysztof Macias competed in the Western Hockey League (WHL) in Canada.

On Tuesday, in the last test match, the Poles lost 1:3 to Denmark.

This will be Poland’s return to the elite division of the World Championship after a 22-year absence.

The World Championship will take place in the Czech cities of Prague and Ostrava from May 10 to 26.

The Polish national team will be the opponent of the Latvian national team in subgroup B in Ostrava, where the USA, Germany, Slovakia, France, Sweden and Kazakhstan will also play.
