Two discussions were also held – the first one was dedicated to the individual responsibility of companies and politicians and the fight against propaganda in the context of the war in Ukraine caused by Russia, while the second one was about the integration of Ukrainian artists who took refuge in Latvia in Latvia.
The participants of the first discussion were journalist, Ukrainian war reporter and author of several documentaries about the war in Ukraine Ieva Vārna, communication director of JSC “Latvenergo”, representative of the great friend of the festival “Elektrum” Andris Siksnis, chairman of the board of JSC “Latvijas Finieris” Uldis Biķis, 14. Member of the Saeima, member of the chairman of the Foreign Affairs Commission Irma Kalniņa and head of the Center for Ukrainian Studies, musician Viktorija Prituļak.

Musicians Anastasija Vasilenko, Darja Leleko and Viktorija Prituļaka participated in the conversation about the integration of artists who took refuge in Latvia. Anastasija Vasilenko and Darja Leleko, who came to Latvia as refugees, thanked Latvians from the bottom of their hearts for the great support from the moment they arrived here, especially for the opportunity to continue making music, participate in projects together with Latvian artists, doing the work they love so much.

Two concerts are expected at the end of Osokina’s Freedom for Ukraine Festival – on May 10, the New Zealand-born American violinist Geneva Lewis and pianist Georgy Osokina will host a concert at the House of Blackheads, while on May 12, the closing concert of the festival will take place in the Ziedoņa Hall of the Latvian National Library, which can also be watched on the portal TVNET live.
