A couple of businessmen – Lidija and Vitaliis Gavrilovs – had to say goodbye to their long-term residence – a proud detached house in Jurmala, Dubulti. In this house, 70 meters from the sea, the former chef of “Aldara” and his wife lived for several decades, according to the magazine “Kas Jauns”.

As Vitaly Gavrilov reveals, the house was lost in connection with the collapse of his family’s cherished and ambitious entertainment center project “GO Planet”, in the creation of which he and his wife had invested practically all their funds and additionally took a multi-digit loan from the bank. The property of GO Planet was taken over by the bank. “Not only that property went to the bank, unfortunately our family house in Dubultos is also now,” Gavrilov tells the publication.

The Gavrilov family has already moved their household, furniture, ornamental plants and everything else out of the house and the residence has been put up for sale for two and a half million euros.

“This residence is located in the middle of a charming pine forest and only 70 meters from the sandy shores. (..) The main residence boasts a design characterized by light, calm tones and large windows that offer panoramic views of the surrounding courtyard and the expanse of the azure Baltic Sea. Encompassing a generous 3,199 square meter plot, the property consists of two distinct structures: a spacious 638 square meter residence and outbuildings,” reads the sale advertisement.

”On the first floor of the main residence, there is an inviting office space, a spacious hall, a modern kitchen, a compact gym and a rejuvenating sauna, offering a variety of amenities to suit different lifestyle needs. Ascending to the second floor, a wonderful sitting area with a spectacular view of the sea opens, four well-appointed bedrooms and three elegantly decorated bathrooms. The third floor exudes a charming ambiance, featuring a romantic tea room and two additional bedrooms, perfect for moments of relaxation,” the ad said. The ad can be viewed here.

The Gavrilovs themselves have moved from Jurmala to Riga, where the family also owns real estate. The house is now full of furniture and things brought from Jūrmala. “Jūrmala is missed, of course. It’s sad, it’s a pity, because we had spent many, many years in that house, which we furnished from the heart, which is associated with warm family memories,” Gavrilov reveals to the publication, adding that in this situation, both he and his wife are each other’s biggest support. Although both now live in Riga, they also regularly go to Jurmala, because there is an agreement with the creditor that until the sale of the property, Gavrilov must maintain and take care of the large area of the backyard. “Looking after, mowing and things like that, it’s all on us. I won’t hide it, of course it’s hard to be where you once lived and where you had to leave,” Gavrilov tells the magazine.
