The Disciplinary Affairs Committee has concluded that the debts owed to the club’s employees and footballers have been fulfilled in full. “Valmiera” has also submitted documents confirming the payments made to the team’s former footballer Ruan Ribeiro, however no confirmation has been received from FIFA yet. As soon as it is received, the ban on registration of new players will be lifted for “Valmiera”.
On the other hand, the decision of the Disciplinary Affairs Committee on the cancellation of the tax debt, which was 188,327.57 euros on May 3, has not been fulfilled. Although “Valmiera” applied to the State Revenue Service with a request for the voluntary fulfillment of overdue taxes within a certain period, a decision was made to deduct three points from “Valmiera” because the club does not comply with paragraph 65 of the licensing regulations.
It should be noted that “Valmiera” still needs to receive a UEFA license in order to participate in the Eurocups.
“Valmiera” has retained the fourth place after taking away three points, but the gap with the leader “Daugavpils” has increased from one point to four. The team led by Jurģas Kalnas, which defeated the leader RFS 2-0 on Sunday, will play its next game in two days, visiting “Riga”.
