Today, April 26, Forest Day was held on the island of Posta, where the townspeople were invited to get to know the forest and the industries related to it.

The event will bring together more than 30 companies and organizations from the forest and related sectors to demonstrate the transformation of the forest from seed to products with high added value.
The event “Forest comes to Jelgava” is organized by the Faculty of Forest and Environmental Sciences of the Latvian University of Biosciences and Technologies in cooperation with the municipality of Jelgava, the “Culture” institution, organizations and companies of Latvian forest and related industries, educational institutions of the industry, as well as craftsmen and individual workers. Forest Days is supported by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Forest Development Fund.
