“Örebro” striker Hannes Bjerninen scored the winning puck in both of these matches. He was supported by Turku TPS forward Markus Nurmi and Earnskoldsvik “MoDo” defender Tobias Winberj, who sent the puck into an empty fortress of the home team.
The Swedish team, which made eight more shots (29-21), could not beat the Finnish goalkeeper of Vekshe “Lakers”, Emil Larmi.
Swedes and Finns have played four matches in two weeks. The national teams will also compete in different formations in the last round of the Eurotour series shortly before the start of the world championships.
Sweden will also test Latvia’s national team in the Ostrava group, against which they will play on May 18.
On May 12, the French hockey players will fight against the Latvians, who beat Slovenia, who were relegated from the top division last year in Riga, 2:1 in overtime in Sergi-Pontoise.
The goals for the French were scored by defender Ioans Ovitū, who represented Vītkovice “Rider” this season, and Valentíns Clairo, who was born in North America in the French overseas territory.
