On Thursday, the sun will shine through the clouds and no significant precipitation is expected. With a slow wind blowing, the air will warm up to +1..+7 degrees.
On Friday, precipitation will cross all of Latvia, starting from the west, mainly rain is expected. At night, the air temperature in Vidzeme and Latgale will drop to 0..-3 degrees, the maximum temperature during the day will be +3..+8 degrees, in places in Kurzeme and Zemgale – up to +10 degrees.
New rain clouds will move over the country on Saturday, the air temperature will become a degree higher. On the other hand, on Sunday, there will probably be little precipitation and the thermometer will rise to +20 degrees in some places.
Also at the beginning of next week, the air temperature may reach +20 degrees, then it will become colder. Rain is expected at times, thunder showers at places.
Due to the precipitation, the water level in the rivers will rise rapidly in the coming days, flooding of the lowest places is possible, predict hydrologists of the Center for Environment, Geology and Meteorology of Latvia.
