Festive decorations placed in Jelgava – ZZ.lv

In order to welcome the convening day of the Constitutional Assembly of the Republic of Latvia, May 1, and the anniversary of the restoration of independence of the Republic of Latvia, May 4, festive decorations are installed in the streets and squares of Jelgava, informs “Pilsētsaimniecība”.

New decorations, in which red and white flags are strengthened, surrounded by a banner decorated with folk patterns, are placed in several places of the city – Hercogs Jēkabs Square, Loka highway, Pärnavas Street, Satiksmes Street, the traffic rotation circle of Pasta Street and the rotation circle of Stacijas Street, at the intersection of the Lithuanian highway with Miera street, Kalnciema road and Rūpniečias street. The optical decorations “Latviju raski” decorated with folk patterns have been installed in the rotation circle of traffic on Post Street, they will be illuminated by three spotlights.

On the other hand, on the Dobele highway, fiberglass elements in red and white colors have been installed in four places, while the light poles of Liela Street will be decorated with red and white banners and flags in the colors of the Jelgava flag. 8 new flags are hoisted in 4 lantern brackets in Herzog Jēkab Square, which will be illuminated by floodlights.
