Based on the reports of the Center for Disease Prevention and Control about the decrease in the incidence of influenza, restrictions on patient visits have been lifted at Jelgava City Hospital from today, April 2, the municipality informs.

When visiting a patient in a hospital, the staff asks to take into account:
visits are organized on weekdays and holidays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.;
Visits to patients in the intensive care unit take place between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., by prior arrangement with the attending physician;
outside the specified time, the patient’s visit can be coordinated with the treating doctor, duty doctor or head of the department by calling the phone number of the department’s doctor’s office from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.;
one adult person can visit the patient at the same time, the duration of the visit is 30 minutes;
it is recommended to use a properly fitted surgical face mask or FFP 2/FFP 3 respirator throughout the visit;
patients’ shipments are accepted by the wardrobe operator on weekdays and holidays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.;
if the visiting rules are not followed, the visitor disturbs or harms the patient’s health in any way (intentionally or unintentionally), or creates safety risks, the hospital staff has the right to stop the visit and ask the visitor to leave the hospital premises.
