She points out that the treatment of this information is incorrect, because the Russian version of LSM is a platform that produces a news program, which can be seen, for example, on weekdays on LTV7, and various other programs: “Television programs are very expensive when compared to something else .”
On the other hand, the employees of the Latvian version of LSM do not create video content themselves – they use the content produced by Latvijas Televīzija, Latvijas Radio.
“Therefore, they are incomparable things. And it’s not fair,” Upley-Jegerman admitted, adding that this is why these salaries are not comparable.
