The weirdest things celebrities demand in their contracts

--

We all know demanding people on a daily basis, such as the person who absolutely has to have coffee in the morning at work, the person who constantly adjusts the thermostat to ridiculously high or low levels, or the person who is too picky about their parking space.

These people can be very annoying, but they are just everyday civilians, not celebrities.

Some of our favorite celebrities can also be demanding, and in order to get them on stage, managers, promoters and venue staff around the world are forced to meet their every requirement. Read this list to find out who are the most temperamental stars in the world.

Beyonce

Request: A hotel room that would be 77 degrees Fahrenheit all the time and a buffet without Coca Cola.

Cost of claim: $10,000.

Known worldwide for her music and glamour, Beyonce is a celebrity who needs no introduction. However, fame and fortune have made her make some rather strange, even ridiculous, demands.

For example, Beyoncé requires her dressing room to be 77 degrees Fahrenheit. She also requests chicken drumsticks heavily sprinkled with cayenne pepper, as well as rose-scented candles. Finally, Beyoncé ditches Coca-Cola cans, as her contract only allows her to be seen with Pepsi products.

Rihanna

Request: Blue silk curtains and a dozen candles.

Application fee: $5,000.

Rihanna makes millions of dollars every year thanks to her business and singing career (although it has been a bit inactive in recent years). Rihanna is currently focusing on her lingerie and makeup brands, and this new focus doesn’t stop her from making crazy demands when she’s on tour.

The singer insists on blue or black curtains covered in blue silk in her dressing room, along with an animal print rug and a very specific request for candles.

Paul McCartney

Request: Plants everywhere and meat nowhere.

Request Cost: $4,000.

Legendary Beatles musician Paul McCartney made millions during his music career, but now he is an ardent advocate for animal rights. He forbids fur, leather and meat to be brought into his dwelling, and he is also very fond of plants. Forget love, all you need are flowers.

Among other things, Paul McCartney demands that all lamps be dimmable halogen bulbs, that his dressing room contain only materials (cotton, denim, velvet, etc.) that do not contain animals, and that the seats in his limousine are not made of leather. Suffice to say, inviting Paul McCartney to a steakhouse would be a very bad idea.

Jay-Z

Demand: More than 7 dressing rooms, several different types of drinks.

Claim cost: $15,000.

Considered by many to be the king of rap, Jay Z is a role model who rose from extreme poverty to become one of the richest musicians. Jay-Z’s net worth is over the billion dollar mark and he has quite a few requests when it comes to his concerts.

Jay-Z requires 7 dressing rooms, 77 degree room temperature, a large couch, 48 bottles of Fiji water, 6 cans of Coke, 6 cans of Red Bull and 6 bottles of vitamin water. Apparently he doesn’t have the same “Pepsi Only” clause as his wife Beyonce.
