The 22-year-old Anson participated in 34 games of the regular season with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League (AHL) this season, where he stood out with seven (2+5) productive points and a positive efficiency coefficient of +1. Meanwhile, the Latvian hockey player managed to score two goals and one assist in eight matches in the Vīleras “Nailers” unit of the ECHL.

In the 2020 National Hockey League (NHL) draft, they were selected by the Pittsburgh “Penguins” with the overall number 149 in the fifth round.

The Latvian national team has two more test matches at home this spring. On May 3 and 4, the Latvians will meet Norway at home. The Latvian national team will go to the world championship in the Czech Republic on May 9. The 2024 championship will take place in Prague and Ostrava from May 10 to 26.
