“Putin is definitely ready for a mini-operation against one of the Baltic states, for example entering Narva or arriving at one of the Swedish islands,” the head of military counter-intelligence stated in an interview with the Polish newspaper “Dziennik Gazeta Pravna”.

At the same time, he pointed out that “despite Putin’s imperialist ambitions, he is currently hampered by the West’s continued support for Ukraine, which has been stronger than expected.”

According to Strozhik, Western support for Ukraine signals that in the event of an attack on NATO countries, the Western response would be even greater.

Strožik was appointed as the head of the Polish military counter-intelligence in March of this year.

In recent weeks, several European countries have issued warnings about Putin’s increasing aggression. As reported, the intelligence services of European countries have warned their governments that Russia is preparing acts of sabotage and sabotage throughout Europe.

Poland has announced that it is ready to deploy NATO’s nuclear weapons in response to the fact that the aggressor Russia has increased armaments in Belarus and Karalea.

On the other hand, in April, the US Institute of War Studies (ISW) published two scenarios of what a Russian attack on the Baltic states might look like.

At the beginning of this week, speaking about the security of the Baltic states, Jānis Sārts, director of NATO’s Center of Excellence for Strategic Communication, admitted in an interview to the TV3 program “900 seconds” that the overall geopolitical situation is difficult, but panic does not help.

Instead, one should be prepared for various scenarios and with self-confidence – “if necessary, we will go against it”.

“The world will not return to the way it was for 30 years. The world has become more unstable, but I would like to say to everyone – panic and fear are bad advisors. If we draw conclusions about our future and life, these two emotions really shouldn’t be relied upon. Of course, the situation is complicated, at the same time – panic will not help, you just have to be ready. In my opinion, we should not be afraid of any actions of Russia, but we should be ready and be self-confident – if necessary, we will respond,” said Sarts.
