• Jelgava captain Gatis Gricinskis scored the first goal in the final series in the seventh minute of the match – 1:0. He was found by Gustavs Miller from behind the goal with a pass in front of the goal.
• From a very narrow angle at the end of the first period, Kaspars Ziemiņis scored a very accurate wrist shot, leveling the score.
