Volvo has conducted safety tests by pitting the largest and smallest models of its crossover line against each other.

Could there be a real-life situation where a Volvo EX90 crashes into a Volvo EX30? Why not, so the Swedish company’s engineers carefully study the safety solutions of both cars, testing them in brutal crash tests.

During the test, the EX90 electric car weighing almost 2.7 tons collides with the EX30 electric car weighing 1.8 tons from the side at a speed of 50 km/h.

After evaluating the results, Volvo engineers concluded that the design of the front end of the EX90 is successful, absorbing the impact force in the event of a crash and reducing the risk of injury to the occupants of the compact car, so no dummies simulating passengers experienced excessive loads.

The EX30 and EX90 electric crossovers have not yet been tested in Euro NCAP (Europe) or NHTSA (USA) crash tests, but Volvo has no doubts that both models will pass this exam with honor.
