The municipality of Bauska region is organizing a project competition for the organization of Ukrainian and Latvian children’s camps, the head of the youth department of Bauska region council Līga Briģe informed the portal.

As a result of the competition, funds for holding camps will be allocated to institutions, associations, foundations, merchants and other interested service providers established by the municipality. One camp organizer will be able to run several camps.

The municipality explained that the purpose of the camps is to provide support for the socialization and psycho-emotional well-being of Ukrainian children and youth, as well as practicing the Latvian language and improving skills, communicating and cooperating both with each other and with Latvian children and youth.

Camp organizers must submit offers from May 20 to June 7. The results of the competition will be announced on June 25. The camps are planned to be organized in the period from July 8 to September 31.

The conditions of the competition stipulate that 50% of the camp should be children and young people of Ukraine living in the municipality of Bauska region, 50% should be students of Bauska region from 1st to 12th grade, but not older than 18 years.

The project “Support for Ukrainian and Latvian children’s and youth camps” is implemented by the State Educational Content Center and the municipality of Bauska region. The amount of funding granted this year is 11,822 euros. The rules of the competition can be found HERE.
