Atmospheric pressure will increase and a warmer air mass will continue to flow into Latvia, again making the days spring-like warm. During daylight hours, the thermometer will reach +10…+15 degrees in many places, up to +20 on holidays, and even +24 degrees in some places during the new week, informs the Center of Environment, Geology and Meteorology.
At the end of the week, the atmospheric pressure will gradually increase, as a result of which the weather will become more favorable again – there will be fewer clouds in the sky and the intensity of precipitation will decrease, but temporary rain is expected in some parts of Latvia. Due to the dominance of slow southerly winds, fog and haze will thicken in some areas during the night and morning hours on Friday and Saturday, reducing visibility. On the night of Friday and Saturday, the thermometer will still stay around the 0 degree mark and below, while on the night of Sunday the air will only cool down to +3…+6 degrees.
During the day, as the sky clears up more often and the sun shines more, the maximum air temperature will reach +9…+15 degrees in many places, but on Sunday, in some parts of the southern part of the country, the thermometer may rise up to +20 degrees.
An area of high pressure will continue to dictate weather conditions in the new week. The sky will clear at times and isolated clouds will bring a little rain in some places, but on Wednesday night it will already rain in many places, even heavily in some places. Light winds will prevail. The air temperature will rise both at night and during the day, the minimum air temperature during night hours will mostly be within +7…+13 degrees. During the days, the air will warm up to +19…+24 degrees in most parts of the country, with cooler air remaining in the coastal areas. New records for maximum air temperature are likely to be set.
