The tradition of coloring and gifting eggs began in ancient times. For spring fertility rituals, they were painted in bright colors to represent sunlight. You can also add a blade of grass, leaf or other natural decoration to the eggs and tightly wrap it around the egg with the help of the most common kapron sock or gauze. Different designs or national symbols can be scratched into eggs painted in onion skins with a needle.

In order for the eggs to be colored evenly, they should be washed before cooking, while in order not to break the shell, the eggs should be kept in hot water before cooking.
