An orange-level warning is in effect in the eastern part of the country, and a yellow-level warning is in effect in the central part of Latvia and eastern Kurzeme.

At night, there will be more clouds in Kurzeme, in places it will even rain a little, so it will be warmer there, the minimum temperature will be 1…5 degrees, while in Zemgale and the west of Vidzeme the temperature will drop to -2…2 degrees,

but in the east of the country it is even colder, in places up to -5 degrees.

According to the Center of Environment, Geology and Meteorology of Latvia, a very strong frost can cause serious damage to non-resistant plant species or even destroy them. Damage can affect large areas. Therefore, as far as possible, plant protection measures should be taken that reduce the impact of frost, for example, covering plants or watering in the evening before the expected frost.

During the day, the amount of clouds will increase throughout Latvia, the sun will shine only at times. Light rain in places in all regions.

A slow variable wind will blow at night, a slow southerly, southwesterly wind during the day.

The maximum air temperature during the day is 8…13 degrees.
