“Gren Gulbene” will reduce the thermal energy tariff by 8.57% from June – Gulbene district – Dzirkstele.lv

SIA “Gren Gulbene” has submitted a proposal to the Public Services Regulatory Commission (SPRK) to reduce the thermal energy tariff by 8.57% from June 1, company representative Guntra Matisa informed LETA agency.

The final tariff for thermal energy is planned to be reduced from 71.42 euros per megawatt hour to 65.30 euros per megawatt hour without value added tax.

The changes in the heat energy tariff are related to the price reduction of the renewable energy resource – wood chips, which the company uses for the production of heat energy in Gulbene.

“Shkelda prices have continued to decrease, therefore we have reviewed and for the second time this year we are reducing the heat supply tariff for customers in Gulbene. It is important for us to provide our customers with a safe and competitive heat supply service. Home heating will not be relevant in the summer period, however, a lower heat energy tariff will allow customers to reduce payments for hot water,” says company manager Agris Libeks.
