During the day, a small amount of clouds will remain in the east of the country, while in the west of the country, the sky will be mostly covered with clouds and in the evening, a little rain is possible on the sea coast.

The air will warm up to plus 8, plus 12 degrees, but it will be a few degrees cooler in coastal areas. The air temperature there will only reach plus 6, plus 9 degrees.
In Riga, the sun will be covered by clouds for a while, but the day will pass without precipitation. A light to moderate northwesterly, northerly wind will remain, becoming gusty in the afternoon.

Meanwhile, on his Facebook account, weather expert Toms Bricis shared the frost warning announced by LVĜMC.
“For the first time, a frost warning has been issued in Latvia. This year, when improving the weather warning system, LVĜMC included in it several potentially dangerous weather phenomena for which warnings were not distributed before. The worst frost will be on the night of Thursday,” says Bricis.
A very strong frost can cause serious damage or even destroy hardy plant species. Damage can affect large areas. Therefore, as far as possible, plant protection measures should be taken that reduce the impact of frost, for example, covering plants or watering in the evening before the expected frost.
A yellow level warning will be in effect on Wednesday night and morning, and an orange level warning will be in effect on Thursday night and morning, when the frost will be more extensive and severe.
In the coming night, there will be few clouds, precipitation is not expected, the temperature will drop to -2…0 degrees in most parts of Latvia, only in many places on the coast it will be warmer – the minimum temperature will be 1…5 degrees.
On the night of Thursday, the weather will be even colder, the temperature may drop to -5 degrees in some places in the east of Latvia, but due to clouds it will be warmer in many places in Kurzeme and the frost will last.
