Also, throughout the day, both young and old will be able to participate in various art and creative workshops, as well as enjoy a wide concert program.

The group “Baltinos – Latino Band”, Sēme and Zentene amateur theater “Maija and Paija” and children’s dance group “Ozoleni”, Engure Music and Art School, “Nāc pļās” foundation, choir and soloists Vijolnieks Reinis Galenieks will entertain with performances.

At the same time, a market of various local entrepreneurs and home producers will also operate. The cafe “Purva Varde” and “Smart Coffee Service” will provide the opportunity to buy delicious food and drinks.

The event also includes shepherds’ bread baking with the Tukuma museum “Pastariņa Muzejs”, pony rides, creative workshops for children – face painting, a musical instrument workshop, a card making workshop and a mobile nature class with the Nature Protection Board and the Nature Center of the Ķemera National Park.

By attending the event, anyone can help in the restoration of Zentene Castle. In 2023, it was bought back from a Russian citizen who had neglected the historic building for 14 years. This spring, significant cleaning works of the castle park and the creation of walking paths in the scenic forest have been carried out. We invite you to take a look at what has been done!

  • family (2-5 persons) – 10 euros;
  • 6 or more persons – 15 euros;
  • per person – 5 euros.

All funds will be used to restore the castle!

Zentene Castle is a building built in 1850 in the classicist style in Tukuma county. From 1938-2009 Zentene elementary school was located in the building. In 2011, the manor building was sold to a Russian citizen, in whose possession it fell into disrepair.

On August 1, 2023, Jānis Dubinskis became the owner of the palace, who together with his wife Lāsma Dubinskis plans to restore the palace. Together with the group of supporters of the castle, clean-ups have already been carried out, the most urgent conservation works have been carried out, as well as the first fund-raising events have been organized.
