Workland invests 3 million euros in the creation of co-working offices Galleria Riga :: Dienas Bizness

In July of this year, the largest co-working office center “Workland Galleria Riga” will open its doors on the 5th floor of the “Galleria Riga” shopping center in Riga. This is already the third co-working space project of the international group “Workland Group” in the capital of Latvia and the first co-working office center located in one of the shopping centers in Riga.

Setting up co-working spaces in shopping centers is a new trend that is becoming more and more popular. This allows you to optimize your work schedule and save time, because both the workplace and the services you need on a daily basis are under one roof – a grocery store, a gym, etc. The area of ​​”Workland Galleria Riga” will exceed 3,000 square meters, offering approximately 350 fully equipped workplaces in a multifunctional environment that will allow combining work and convenient access to restaurants, shops, a gym and other services. The amount of investment in the new co-working spaces reaches 3 million euros.

“The economic upheavals and uncertainty of the previous years have encouraged companies to review their usual activities and expenses. In the changing and volatile situation, a flexible approach in the field of B2B services becomes one of the most important selection criteria. The combination of remote and face-to-face work has increased the demand for full-service office centers with flexible conditions , is a concept offered by co-working space creators. Not only start-ups, but also large international companies such as “Nasdaq” or “VISA” choose such offices because they can quickly adapt to changing needs, offering flexible office rental terms and additional services, such as meeting rooms. This flexibility not only satisfies the immediate needs, but also helps to optimize office rental costs. “Workland” closely follows the growing demand for co-working and full-service offices. Workland Verde” – the average occupancy is 90%, therefore we are happy to announce the opening of our third center in the center of Riga in July this year, which was built with the support of “East Capital Real Estate”. In addition, we are expanding our presence throughout the Baltic region, opening new co-working centers in Tallinn and Vilnius this autumn, thus increasing the number of workplaces offered by Workland by 30%,” comments Indrek Hääl, founder and CEO of Workland Group.

“Workland Galleria Riga” will offer both private offices and co-working spaces. Phone booths will provide a private space for phone or video calls, they can be used without prior reservation. Meeting rooms with 3 to 10 seats, equipped with TV screens, video conferencing equipment and other amenities, will be bookable via the Workland app or website, and will be available to both Workland Center members and anyone seeking professional environment for meetings or video conferences. Private offices will vary in size from 2 to 8 workstations. All workspaces will be fully furnished and have access to common areas such as a kitchen, lounges and an outdoor terrace.

The co-working area will have both fixed workplaces, which will provide a personalized and comfortable environment, and open-type workplaces, allowing participants to choose a different place every day.

“The circle of members of our co-working centers is very wide – both the community of “business angels” investors, representatives of the IT industry, freelancers, state institutions, international corporations, real estate developers, etc. In Latvia, the “Workland” community unites more than 400 members – from various fields professionals, businessmen, and we are glad that this number will increase with the bookings of the new “Workland Galleria Riga”. The price of one workplace in the co-working space is from 150 euros (plus VAT) per month office expenses such as utilities, electricity, internet, coffee, office maintenance, and even shared events such as monthly breakfasts and after-hours activities.Our calculations show that this approach saves up to 30% of office costs compared with standard office lease agreements,” adds Jekaterina Zilpauša, commercial director of “Workland Latvia”.

The interior of the new co-working space was designed by Lauder Architect. Rita Lauder, interior architect at Lauder Architect office: “Given the excellent location of Galleria Riga in the city center, I drew inspiration for the design concept of the Workland office from the dynamics of the urban landscape. Although some streets may seem gray and boring, Riga has a lively and colorful character. The interior of the “Workland” office integrates various materials reminiscent of the urban landscape, such as brick, wood and metal. In addition, the wall paintings in the style of street art are placed in such a way as to give the office environment a playful and captivating dimension. The incorporation of stripes and circles in the acoustic panels serves not only functional purposes, but also helps to create a more pleasant working atmosphere will give the room vitality and promote a cozy feeling of warmth.”
