“A few years ago, my TV3 colleagues and I decided that it was important for us to influence positive changes in the lives of residents. The “Pride of Latvia” project is exactly about that, because we can not only tell about good things, but also influence people’s lives for the better. We have been doing this for 20 years and have received thousands of applications. I am proud of the fact that this is possible in such a small country,” said Mindaugas Rakauskas, head of “TV3 group Latvija”, in an interview with TV3 program “900 seconds”.

“Latvijas Lepnums” is a project of the media group “TV3 Group Latvija”, which for the 21st time will reward fellow human beings who make Latvia better with their work, promoting positive changes, increasing sensitivity, inclusion, improving interpersonal relations and public opinion. Year after year, loving families, brave rescuers, patriotic teachers, purposeful young people and other people who have been able to inspire and become a great example to those around them are awarded.

“Latvijas Lepnuma” awards are given every year in very different nominations, emphasizing the variety of good works. Last year, laureates were honored in the categories “One for all, all for one”, “Rescuers”, “Fighter”, “Young man”, “Work of the heart”, “More than the call of duty”, “Inspirer”, “Teacher”, “Countryman”. and “Man to Man”.
