Drone control centers are going to Ukraine / Article

--

It looks like an ordinary bus – inside is a drone control center. Aigars Loss, a member of the board of the “Gant Foundation”, said that it was created at the request of specific, already known soldiers.

“There are two places inside, so one is the one who controls the drone and the other is the one who processes the information that is received.

It works in two directions, one is the scouts, which are a bit more serious and high-flying, and the other is already implemented, so to speak, strike drones and droppers,” said Loss.

One of the requirements when building such a mobile drone control center is to be able to quickly evacuate.

“Working here in this specific place, a person can immediately leave this room quickly, quickly, if it is necessary. In the same way, there is a second workplace, she is also at the exit, so that you can evacuate as quickly as possible. We have made it as ergonomic as possible,” said Loss .

The bus is also provided with a protection system for suppressing frequencies.

Loss said that not only the built-in system must be good and very easy to use, but also the vehicle itself must be in excellent technical condition.

It will have to travel along roads that have already been bombed in many places.

This will not be the only drone bus in this “Gantt Fund” shipment. The drone control center was also built by the association of friends and colleagues “12 plus one”. The bus was built in free time, guided by the orders of the soldiers and their own capabilities. Here, too, everything necessary is observed. Several evacuation exits and several workplaces.

“We have been cooperating with the same unit for more than a year and a half. Everything that was brought before that is according to specific instructions and needs,” explained dronebus co-author Jānis Spigovskis.

The builders of drone buses said that such mobile drone control centers are very necessary.

“We cannot count on the Ukrainians to receive much international aid now, and we are stopping because they need it right now, now,”

added Ieva Ādamsone, the founder of “Gant Foundation”.

Today, the largest aid cargo of the “Gantt Fund” worth more than 150 thousand euros is going from Riga to Ukraine with one of the drone buses. A second drone control center will also be on the way in the near future.
