The State Cultural Capital Fund (VKKF) has distributed 642,400 euros among 249 projects in the development program of Latvian historical lands, VKKF representative Ilona Skuja informed the agency LETA.
The purpose of the program is to promote the availability of high-quality culture in Latvian historical lands, as well as to promote learning, preservation and popularization of the uniqueness of Latvian historical lands. The program is administered and organized in each historic land by an organization selected through competition, such as planning regions, municipalities and non-governmental organizations.
In Vidzeme, 65 projects received financial support for project implementation, with 167,400 euros allocated. On the other hand, 67 projects for a total of 167,500 euros will be implemented in the cultural program of Kurzeme for 2024.
In Zemgale, 23 projects received financial support for the implementation of projects with 56,100 euros allocated. On the other hand, in Latgale, funding was allocated to 65 projects for a total amount of 167,400 euros. 29 projects for the total amount of 84,000 euros have been approved in the cultural program of Selia for 2024.
