67 projects have been approved in the cultural program of Kurzeme this year

In total, 167,500 euros have been allocated for the implementation of projects.

The implementation of the projects will make it possible to enrich the cultural offer in all the administrative territories of the Kurzeme region – Southern Kurzeme district, Kuldīga district, Saldus district, Talsu district, Tukuma district, Ventspils district, as well as Liepāja and Ventspils cities.

The competition received a total of 141 project applications for the total amount of 621,021 euros.

Among the approved projects are the festival of singers “Troubadūrs”, the quiz “Izzini Kurzemi”, the photo plein air “Thursday Mysteries in Popé”, the traditional Bread Festival in Otaņki, the Day of Suits, the sacred music festival of Ventspils region and others.

In total, 642,400 euros have been distributed among 249 projects in the Latvian Historical Lands Development Program of the State Cultural Capital Fund (VKKF).

In Vidzeme, 167,400 euros were allocated, 65 projects received financial support for project implementation, in Zemgale, 56,100 euros were allocated, 23 projects received financial support for project implementation, while in Latgale, funding was allocated to 65 projects for a total amount of 167,400 euros.

29 projects for the total amount of 84,000 euros have been approved in the cultural program of Selia for 2024.
