This year, for the 18th time, the biggest school class bonding festival “Chee Chee Championship” (previously known as “Golden Fish Championship”) will take place in Europe. For the second time, the final of the championship will be held in Bauska, this spring it will be already next week, from May 16 to 18, informed “Tele 2” representative Oskars Fīrmanis.

As he previously emphasized to “Bauskas Dzīve”, the nature and purpose of the event, why such a championship is held, has not changed – we want to develop young people’s abilities such as teamwork, critical thinking, communication skills, leadership and creativity.
26 class collectives from Bauska district schools will take part in the final competition on the Bauska hill, in total there will be 480 classes from Latvian educational institutions.
According to the organizers, the distribution of the days of the final is as follows: 16. in May, 8th and 9th grades; on May 17, 6th and 7th grades; On May 18, grades 10-12. Day plan: 8:30 – 10:00 arrival and registration; 10:00 Championship opening, briefing, meeting of class captains; 10:40 – 17:00 competition + additional activity; 17:00 award ceremony; 18:00 departure home. The organizers of the championship remind all finalists to prepare parental permission, which will be presented at the time of registration.
