“Valmiera” will meet with RFS, and “Auda” with “Riga” in the match of the 11th round of the “Tonybet” Latvian Football Premier League today. The match will start at 2 p.m. at the Valmiera Olympic Center stadium, and two hours later “Auda” will host “Riga” at the “Skonto” stadium, both matches will be broadcast live on TV4.
“Valmiera” won 2:1 against “Tukums 2000″/”Telms” in the last two games and played 1:1 with “Metta”. After the match with “Metta” it became known that the “Valmieras” club has problems with salary payments for hockey players and payment of taxes, and it may be deprived of three points in the standings, as well as the club’s participation in this season’s UEFA Conference League qualification tournament is doubtful.
Leaders RFS have won their last five matches, drawing only once and winning the rest of their last eight matches. In the last match, “Auda” was defeated 2:1. In the first round, “Valmiera” unexpectedly won 1:0 away from home.

“Auda” after four unbeaten games, celebrating victories in the last three, lost to RFS in the last battle. “Riga” has alternated between wins and losses in the last four games. On Monday, “Liepāja” will meet “Metta” at home, while “Grobiņas SC”/LFS will host “Daugavpili” and “Tukums 2000″/”Telms” – “Jelgavu” on Tuesday.
After ten rounds, RFS takes the first place with 25 points, followed by “Riga” with 21 points. “Daugavpilij” has 18 points, “Valmiera” has 17, and “Auda” and “Tukums 2000″/”Telms” have 14 points each. “Jelgava”, “Metta” unit, “Grobiņa”/LFS and “Liepāja” have eight points.
