“Daugavpils” will host “Jelgavu”

“Daugavpils” will meet “Jelgavu” today in the last match of the tenth round of the “Tonybet” Latvian football superleague.

The game at Stadium “Esplanāde”, the artificial field, in Daugavpils will start at 18:00, it will be broadcast live on the television channel TV4.

After two losses to Riga teams “Riga” (0:2) and “Auda” (0:1), Daugavpils defeated “Valmiera” 1:0 and played 0:0 with “Liepaja”.

“Jelgava”, after seven games in which they managed to score two points, defeated “Liepāja” 1:0 and “Grobiņas SC”/LFS 2:1 in the last two matches.

In the first round in Jelgava, the score was 0:0.

On Wednesday, RFS beat “Audu” with 2:1, “Metta” and “Valmiera” played a draw (1:1), but on Thursday “Tukums 2000″/”Telms” played 0:0 at home with “Liepaja” and “Riga” in their defeated “Grobiņas SC”/LFS 2:0 on the field.

RFS takes first place with 25 points in ten games, followed by “Riga” with 21 points. “Valmierai” has 17 points in ten games, “Daugavpilij” has 15 points in nine matches, and “Auda” and “Tukums 2000″/”Telms” have 14 points in ten matches. “Jelgava” has eight points in nine games, and “Metta” team, “Grobiņas SC”/LFS and “Liepāja” have ten points in ten matches.

The Premier League championship with the participation of ten teams takes place in four rounds, with each team playing 36 games. 180 games are expected to be played until November 9.

Last season, RFS became the champion for the second time, which secured victory only in the last round, winning over “Metta” team with 1:0.
