With a rally Terras d’Aboboreira the 3rd stage of the Portuguese Rally Championship was started on Friday. In qualifying, with four crews entering within 0.2 seconds, Pierre-Louis Loubert was the fastest. Unfortunately, a mistake was made by the leader of the Portuguese Rally Championship, Chris Meeke, who crashed after doing several somersaults.

Thanks to the excellent work of the mechanics, Meek managed to get to the start. If the qualifying leaders decided to start later in the hope of a cleaner road, Meek had to start from second position. But on the first day it rained and there was also fog, so the conditions were the same for the riders.

It was used perfectly by Meeke, who beat the closest follower, Joan Rossell, by 8.9 seconds in the first 16.9 kilometer dope! Nikolai Gryazin was third, 11.2 seconds behind. In the super special dope, where it was also raining, Rossel was the fastest, but Mieke kept the lead after the first day, followed by Rossel (+8.3) and Grjazin (13.4).

Dani Sordo, who is 18 seconds faster than Miki, starts in this rally in a separate class with “Hyundai i20 N Rally1 Hybrid”.

In the RC4 class, 16-year-old Turkish Čans Alakočs with Latvian coxswain Ivo Pūki showed the tenth fastest time in the first stage of the competition of 31 crews. They lost 32.5 seconds to the class leader. In the second lap, Alakočs lost 10.3 seconds to the class leader, but after the first day he remains in tenth place in the class.
